EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique

EFT is a refreshing new approach which is a psychological version of acupuncture except that the needles are not needed and that it can be self applied. The individuals can tune into their emotional issue while stimulating stress relief points by tapping on them with their fingertips. This provides a meridian “balancing effect” that replaces emotional distress with a form of peace.

It's a relatively new discovery that allows rapid release from emotional issues. EFT is a therapeutic approach which discharges emotional distress and liberates the capacity for growth and joy. It is a process that has its roots in both ancient Chinese medicine and the modern science of Applied Kinesiology. These techniques are gentle, rapid and startlingly effective. It is not unusual to see emotional pain released in one session.

EFT has been successful with:

  • addictive cravings (food, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs)

  • allergies

  • anxiety

  • panic attacks

  • fears and phobias

  • anger

  • depression

  • dyslexia

  • insomnia

  • pain and symptom management

  • peak performance (golf, tennis, public speaking, public performance) and more

Formerly those issues might have taken several months or years of therapy with traditional approaches. With EFT those issues can now be resolved rapidly and effectively. Dramatic improvements have been reported with the use of EFT along with hypnosis. Clinical results over the past 5 years have been remarkable. Like other therapies, EFT does not solve everything for everyone. Yet it will often work where traditional methods have failed. The theory is that all negative emotions are a disruption in the body’s energy system. By correcting the imbalance on an energy level we simultaneously correct the emotional level

EFT can be self applied, although working with a skilled therapist is recommended.
