Will I get stuck? Is it dangerous?

Hypnosis is by no means dangerous and you cannot get “stuck” and remain in a permanent state of hypnosis.

What happens during hypnosis?

During the first appointment, goals are discussed and a plan is set out on how to best achieve them. Hypnosis is then thoroughly explained to eliminate any fears or misconceptions. The treatment itself consists of inducing a hypnotic state by making various suggestions to relax both body and mind.

You will stay awake and be able to hear my voice while remaining aware of your surroundings. I will make the suggestions we discussed and agreed to. Once this is done, I will take you out of hypnosis, and you will feel rested and full of energy, just as you do after getting a good night’s sleep. And you will feel great!

What happens after the session?

After bringing you out of hypnosis, we discuss what you experienced, your thoughts and impressions, as well as any necessary follow-up or additional techniques which may assist you.

How long will it take to achieve my goal?

This depends on the severity of the problem and your suggestibility. It can vary from one to six sessions. This will be evaluated during the first consultation.

My husband/wife wants me to stop smoking

Hypnosis will not help you achieve things you do not really want to! You will be successful with hypnosis if you truly desire to work on a problem.

Is hypnosis the right technique for me?

During the first half hour we meet, we will discuss what I can do for you and explain how hypnosis works.

What if I have questions after the first session?

You can contact me by phone or e-mail.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Hypnosis is possible starting from age six, as long as the person can follow simple instructions.

Please note that if you are suffering from pain and come for pain management, you must provide written permission from your doctor.

What about self-hypnosis?

Self-hypnosis classes are available and they are highly recommended to augment the professional treatments. Clients are also instructed in the use of self-hypnosis during the first or second session and they are encouraged to use it, as it is a powerful tool to achieve well-being without external help.

What is the difference between self-hypnosis and hypnosis?

During a hypnosis session, you can simply let yourself be guided into relaxation, it is effortless. As a rule, having a professional hypnotize you brings faster results than self-hypnosis does. Although self-hypnosis is very powerful and works very well, it does take longer to achieve the desired goals.

What is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)?

This technique is a quick and long-lasting technique to dissolve emotional as well as physical problems. By tapping on meridian end points and repeating a reinforcement phrase, the problem is simply tapped away. It often works where traditional therapies have failed. No drugs or equipment are needed. EFT can easily be learned and self-applied by anyone.

Applications are but not limited to:

  • Stop smoking
  • Lose weight
  • Eliminate phobias
  • Relieve anxiety
  • Stress management
  • Control panic attacks
  • ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)
  • ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
