Reiki

Reiki is a simple technique of natural and spiritual healing which uses the laying on of hands. It’s origin is probably from Tibet and dates several thousands of years back. Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. MIKAO USUI at the end of the last century, followed by the study of the Japanese, Chinese, Tibetan and Christian literature. Dr. Usui was a Buddhist and received the gift of Reiki while meditating on Mount Kurama. He is accredited to be the first Reiki Master as we know it.

 The word Reiki is composed of two Japanese words 

"REI" = Spiritual Wisdom

and

"KI" = The Life Force

Thus REIKI means spiritually guided force energy.

Reiki is an energy which comes directly from the highest spiritual source. Its intelligence guides itself with its own wisdom and is not capable of causing harm. It knows exactly where it must go and what it must do. It is multidimensional and will heal the cause of the problem at any level (mind, body and spirit).

A treatment of Reiki consists of laying on hands on feet, stomach, chest, and around the head. The practitioner is free to use other positions according to the client. Each position lasts approximately three minutes and a complete treatment can last up to one hour and half. The treatment includes many beneficial effects for the client as well as for the practitioner.

Reiki is very powerful and at the same time very gentle. It works in conjunction with all other medical and therapeutic techniques to relive side effects and promote recovery.

One of the principal interests of Reiki is to be able to use it on oneself, according to its own needs, independent of location or time, by simply putting hands on oneself the REIKI energy flows and begins to heal. 

WHO CAN LEARN REIKI?

Reiki is very powerful however very simple and can be learned by everyone. It is transmitted by a Reiki Master to the student by an initiation. Reiki is available to everyone and is not dependant on a person’s intellectual capacity, religion, background or spirituality. The single process of initiation can be taught during a weekend.
